Great Divide
Flagg Ranch, WY Being overly optimistic with shipping times to towns so small they hardly show up on a map, leaves you sleeping on a schoolhouse porch shared with a child sized coffin, stranded in some town waiting for something that will never actually show up. With an emergency purchase of new bottom brackets and chains the day before, we hadn't realized we might end up stuck in this town twice as long as any of us ever cared to be. EVER! Pushing on with bottom brackets and chains that could fail at literally any minute with a 300 mile stretch, stranded in the middle of nowhere type of risk we were willing to take to get out of town as quickly as possible. Before rolling into Jackson with fresh parts waiting for us, the only thing we had left to do was to see just how hard we could stress these decrepit parts, as well as the others on our bike that weren't doing so well, by an excessive amount of tread removal and quality air time.

  • What was the genesis moment or inspiration for your upcoming adventure? When Blackburn took us under their wing. We were only half serious about doing the ride beforehand and would not have done it at all this year without someone to report to.Thanks guys for the inspiration!
  • What is your goal for the route? Have a better time on the road then I could have possibly had if I had stayed at home. I was having a pretty good time at home!
